Inter are still in talks with Manchester United over Romelu Lukaku despite the Belgian moving closer to Juventus, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Lukaku has accepted the Bianconeri’s offer after initially holding out for Inter, but his arrival in Turin is entirely dependent upon Paulo Dybala moving in the opposite direction.

Dybala was due to meet Juve’s new boss Maurizio Sarri for talks after training this afternoon, and United remain ‘cautious’ about their chances of signing La Joya.

“United are still cautious about the prospect of signing Dybala and are continuing dialogue with Inter on the off-chance the Nerazzurri meet their £80m asking price for Lukaku,” Liam Corless reported this morning.

“Inter had a derisory £54million bid for Lukaku rejected in July and are yet to prove they have the financial might to pull the deal off.

“United also believe it is still possible Lukaku could end up staying.”

Dybala would prefer to remain in Turin than move to the Premier League, but his future should become much clearer following today’s meeting with Sarri.
