The decision to omit Alessandro Bastoni from the squad for tomorrow’s friendly is a precautionary measure that has been taken to avoid the defender aggravating an injury he has picked up according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The young central defender, who spent last season on loan at fellow Serie A outfit Parma, sustained a slight sprain to his knee whilst preparing for Inter’s penultimate friendly match and should not be kept out for any more than a few days.

Bastoni will not be alone in missing the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow afternoon through injury with new recruits Valentino Lazaro and Diego Godin also set to miss out with both having muscle injuries.

Mauro Icardi, Lautaro Martinez, Matias Vecino and Kwadwo Asamoah have also not travelled as part of Antonio Conte’s squad for the game.

Tomorrow’s game will be Inter’s fifth pre-season encounter and is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 CET.
