Diego Godin should be available for selection for Inter’s second match of the season with Cagliari according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Uruguyan is the third casualty in the Inter squad in pre-season having picked up a muscle injury in training and the Milan based newspaper stress that it is not serious and any worries that he could be another Nemanja Vidic can be forgotten about.
The 33-year-old should be out of action for the next three weeks meaning he will miss the final two friendlies with Tottenham Hotspur and Valencia and the season opener with Lecce.
🚨 | INJURY NEWS @diegogodin has undergone tests at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano. They revealed a pulled rectus femoris muscle in his left thigh. His condition will continue to be evaluated on a week-to-week basis.
