Samir Handanovic will be able to wear a patch on his shirt this coming season for being the best goalkeeper in Serie A during the 2018/19 campaign.
“The player who in the previous season won the Award as Best Player in one of the categories identified by the Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A, will be entitled to put the official celebratory patch on his shirt,” a statement from the Lega Serie A reads.
“This patch will be provided to the club directly by the Serie A National Professional League and will be attached to the front of the shirt, in the centre.”
Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibably will get a patch for being best defender, Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for being best midfielder, Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella for being best attacker, Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo for being best young player and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo will also get to wear a patch for being the best player overall.
