Matteo Politano should make a return to action this weekend as Inter play their penultimate pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian winger picked up a muscle injury at the beginning of pre-season during Inter’s pre-season training camp in Lugano, Switzerland.
The report goes on to state that Valentino Lazaro, who also picked up a muscle injury, will not be available for the match with Spurs but will be available for Inter’s final pre-season friendly with Valencia next weekend.
While he has been out injured, he has been watching a lot of videos and taking lots of tactical lessons on how Antonio Conte hopes to utilise him.
The only other injured player currently on Inter’s books is defender Diego Godin. The veteran Uruguayan has also sustained a muscle injury and other reports in the media suggest he will be out for the next three or so weeks.
