Radja Nainggolan has admitted that he is keen to show that Inter have made a mistake by letting him leave the club just a year after he joined.

The 31-year-old Belgian is set to return to Cagliari on a season-long loan with his medical due to take place in the coming days.

“I have another two years of contract after this season, maybe my time with Inter is not over. Let’s see what happens,” the Belgian midfielder told the gathered reporters at Milan’s Malpensa airport.

“I tried to do my talking on the pitch. Now Inter must know the mistake they made.”

Asked if he felt like he had been pushed out against his will, he responded: “I do not feel like I have been forced out.”

He was also asked about returning to Cagliari, who he spent four years with previously.

“I am both peaceful and calm and I am going back to Sardinia to do well. I had so many offers but I made this decision with my heart.”
