Inter’s main alternative in the event that they cannot sign Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United is Eintracht Frankfurt star Ante Rebic according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
The Nerazzurri have courted Belgian international Lukaku for some time now but Manchester United’s huge demands for the striker have made completing a move difficult as has the fact Juventus are also trying to sign him.
The report goes on to state that Inter’s management have been in contact with their counterparts at Eintracht Frankfurt to discuss Croatian international Rebic, who, as per reports, is valued at around €40 million.
Rebic could provide something entirely different to Inter’s attack and is very much different to Lukaku too and that is why Inter’s management are seriously thinking about him if their move for Lukaku collapses.
The 25-year-old scored 10 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions and also provided six assists for his teammates.
