Porto’s Moussa Marega is among the alternatives Inter are considering as they continue to struggle in their pursuit of Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Lukaku is seemingly Inter’s number one transfer target but they look to have been priced out of a move for the Belgian by the Red Devils who are demanding in excess of €80 million.
Marega has some similar characteristics to Lukaku and the 28-year-old Malian scored 21 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions last season for the Portuguese giants.
Marega aside, Inter are also considering Atalanta and Colombia striker Duvan Zapata. Zapata had his breakout season last term and Atalanta reportedly value him at €60 million, a figure Inter deem to be far to excessive for the 28-year-old.
Despite some rumours of Inter being interested in Gonzalo Higuain, Arek Milik and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Rome based newspaper state that Inter have no interest in any of the trio.
