Inter Preparing Another Offer For Edin Dzeko After Roma Forward Asks To Be Sold

Inter are preparing yet another offer to Roma for their striker Edin Dzeko, according to FcInterNews.it.

Today the Nerazzurri held talks with his agent Silvano Martina for the second time in 72 hours, reassuring him they remain determined to secure a deal as quickly as possible.

Dzeko has told Roma he wants to be sold so he can join Antonio Conte in Milan, sitting out tonight’s preseason friendly against Athletic Bilbao.

The Bosnian international has agreed a three-year deal worth €4.5 million annually, having scored 14 goals in all competitions last season.

Roma have always held firm on their €20 million asking price since Gianluca Petrachi became the club’s new sporting director.

However, Dzeko’s frustration at not being allowed to move could make the difference in the end, given that new coach Paulo Fonseca does not want unmotivated players in his squad.

The 33-year-old’s desire to leave the capital will help Inter as they aim to edge closer to Roma’s financial demands.

Antonio Conte is due to receive Romelu Lukaku in the coming hours, after Inter agreed a deal with Manchester United, but he has not lost hope of welcoming Dzeko as well.

After weeks of paralysis in the transfer market, the Nerazzurri’s new-look attack is finally beginning to take shape.
