Roma are considering offering Edin Dzeko the same three-year deal he has agreed with Inter, according to Sky Sport.

The Giallorossi are not conceding any ground in talks over the Bosnian and have included in him in their squad for tomorrow’s final preseason match against Arezzo.

Mauro Icardi remains a serious target for Roma, but only if they cannot convince Dzeko to extend his contract in the capital.

The club find themselves in a difficult position because the 33-year-old is still tempted by the prospect of playing under Antonio Conte.

Roma risk losing Dzeko on a free transfer next summer if they do not let him leave for Inter in the final three weeks of the transfer window.

Reports in Italy’s leading sports papers this week have suggested the striker is frustrated at not being allowed to leave, but not enough to persuade him to burn his bridges in Rome.

Conte identified Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku as his two main transfer targets in attack at the beginning of the summer, but only the latter has arrived so far.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have not offered more than €15 million up until now due to Dzeko’s age and contract situation.
