Samuele Longo is about to leave Inter and join Deportivo La Coruna on loan, Sky Sport confirmed last night.

The Galician club will have an obligation to purchase the striker if they are promoted to La Liga this season.

Longo returned to Inter for preseason and helped Antonio Conte cope with a striker shortage during their tour in Asia.

He will now return to Spain for a sixth different loan spell, having already represented Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano, Girona, Tenerife and Huesca.

Longo scored one goal in 15 appearances for Huesca last season, before leaving in January to play for Cremonese in Serie B.

He scored a stoppage-time equaliser against Paris Saint-Germain in Macao last month, allowing Inter to win the International Super Cup on penalties in their final friendly on tour.

Conte reserved words of praise for Longo in his post-match press conference, describing him as ‘a really good player’.

The striker has also played for Verona, Cagliari and Frosinone since graduating from Inter’s academy, but none were prepared to make a permanent investment on him.
