Alexis Sanchez is open to moving to Inter, who are at work on reaching an agreement with Manchester United according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sanchez’s desire to return to Italy, where he previously played for Udinese, has significantly helped negotiations progress at speed and the player’s agent Fernando Felicevich has been dealing with United in recent days.

The Chilean attacker is so keen to end his Old Trafford nightmare that he is willing to take a huge pay cut in order to get a move away.

His current salary is unsustainable for Inter who could offer him a longer contract on a lesser wage to even things out for him.

Manchester United are understood to value Sanchez at €20 million but could allow him to leave on loan with a redemption option attached.

The report goes on to state that Inter manager Antonio Conte is hopeful of being able to get the 30-year-old’s career back on track.
