Alexis Sanchez’s move to Inter could be completed as early as tomorrow, according to El Mercurio in Chile.

The forward will leave Manchester United on loan with an option to buy for a fee between €15-20 million.

Talks between the two clubs are close to their conclusion and Sanchez may put pen to paper on his new contract on Tuesday.

The paper confirmed United will subsidise part of Sanchez’s salary, although they did not clarify how much.

Sanchez scored just one goal in the Premier League last season as Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led United to a lowly sixth-place finish.

He joined the Reds from Arsenal in January 2018 but has never rediscovered his best form while in Manchester, scoring five goals in 45 appearances thus far.

Antonio Conte wanted to sign Sanchez while he was coaching Juventus and Chelsea and it seems he will now get his wish at the third time of asking.

Sanchez will be reunited in Milan with his former United teammate Romelu Lukaku, with whom he has already played together on 37 occasions.
