As the countdown begins for the end of the Summer transfer window, so does the time for Inter and Juventus to come to an agreement regarding an exchange between Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala.

According to FCInterNews, a last minute surprise in this saga should not be excluded.

Icardi has always maintained his stance which is to ‘Either I go to Juve or stay at Inter.’ He knows that he is admired by Juventus’ Sporting Director Fabio Paratici.

The Old Lady have already found an agreement with Wanda Nara for a five year deal worth €8 million plus bonuses per season.

However, Juventus are in no hurry to accelerate negotiations at the moment as they must first focus on selling some of their forwards.

Two out of Mario Mandzukic, Gonzalo Higuain, and Paulo Dybala must depart. Dybala seems to want to stay at Juventus having already declined offers from Manchester United, Tottenham, and most recently PSG.

In case of a farewell, Dybala would like to either play in La Liga or stay in Italy. The first option seems unlikely, while for the second option, all rumors are pointing directly to Inter.

Beppe Marotta is a great admirer of Dybala’s qualities and was the one who brought him to Juventus in the Summer of 2015 for €40 million from Palermo, beating off stiff competition from Inter.

In the case of an agreement, Inter would be ready to offer him €7.5 million in a contract that would last until the end of June 2024.

Inter are not concerned with the player’s image rights and therefor that will not be a problem as it had been for other clubs.

The swap, if it does go through, would provide sensational capital gains for both clubs, given that Dybala burdens the Juventus balance sheet with €16 million while Icardi’s weigh is €2.5 million euros on Inter’s balance sheet.
