Noted Italian journalist and pundit Paolo Condo, was a guest last night on Sky Sport Italia where he spoke about Inter as they prepare for the start of the season.

He began by praising Inter’s new manager, Antonio Conte whom he believed is one of the best coaches in the world.

“Antonio Conte, along with Sarri, is one of the top ten managers in the world. His presence alone enriches the Serie A and increases it’s quality and appeal.”

He then went on to discuss Alexis Sanchez, who is rumored to be close to joining the Nerazzurri.

“He was a revelation at Udinese, then moved to Barcelona and did good things, which landed him at Arsenal where he scored a lot but won nothing. This was ‘enough’ for him to become the third highest paid player on the planet.

“He received quite an unreasonable amount of money. He is certainly a good player, but I would not put him in the circle of the best 20 footballers in the world. He can have an impact, but it is a risk and I have my doubts.”

He then went on to discuss the quality of the league and who he thinks will be at the top:

“This season will be a lot more competitive. At this moment, Napoli and Inter have closed the gap with Juventus, I think these three teams will be in a league of their own.”
