Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all but confirmed Manchester United are in talks with Inter over Alexis Sanchez this morning.
The forward is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford after a disastrous 18-month spell since joining from Arsenal.
Sanchez is expected to be left out of the Norwegian’s squad for tomorrow’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace, to be released this afternoon.
Solskjaer told reporters during his pre-match press conference: “There are still talks with some clubs
“But he played in our behind-closed-doors match on Tuesday and he played well, so as I’ve said he’s working hard and let’s see in September what’s going to happen.”
Sanchez was part of a strong United XI that beat Sheffield United at the club’s training ground, but it is unlikely to change his future in Manchester.
United did not name the Chilean among the list of players unavailable for tomorrow’s game due to injury, which means an exclusion from the match-day squad would be purely transfer-related.
