Despite his involvement in yesterday’s training session at San Siro, things have not and will not change for Inter striker Mauro Icardi according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 26-year-old Argentine continues to be considered out of the Inter project and he will not be included in the Nerazzurri squad for Monday’s 2019/20 Serie A season opener at home to newly promoted Lecce.

His inclusion on Inter’s 25-man squad list has only been done so to avoid any possible legal complications that not including him could have brought around.

The Nerazzurri are yet to receieve any formal offers for the troubled striker, who was stripped of the club captaincy during last season.

Both Napoli and Juventus have shown a keen interested and whilst Napoli have made an offer to Icardi, they are awaiting a response before making an offer.

As for Juventus, they are needing to sell players before they can think of making a move and have transfer listed four of five players in a bid to raise funds.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta continues to hope that a swap deal can be completed with Juventus that would involve Icardi and Paulo Dybala but Juventus have no interest in such a deal taking place.
