Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of finally becoming an Inter player this afternoon, according to FcInterNews.it
The Chilean’s agent Fernando Felicevich held fresh talks with Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward after lunch on Tuesday.
Woodward is about to give the green light to the deal after attempting to obtain more favourable conditions over Sanchez’s monstrous annual salary.
Sanchez is expected to sign for Inter on an initial loan deal with an option to buy for around €15 million.
Inter hoped to bring El Nino Maravilla to Italy much sooner than today but talks have slowed as the clubs discussed how to divide up his wages.
Sanchez scored just five goals in 45 appearances for United after joining the Red Devils from Arsenal in January 2018.
Antonio Conte is hoping to welcome both the forward and Cristiano Biraghi to San Siro before the transfer window shuts on Monday.
He also wants Inter to sign him another central midfielder, although this may depend on whether Borja Valero follows Joao Mario out of the exit door.
