Cristiano Biraghi has fulfilled a dream of his by returning to Inter, according to the full-back’s agent.

The Italy international completed a medical with the Nerazzurri on Wednesday and will soon have his loan move from Fiorentina officially confirmed.

Mario Giuffredi visited Inter’s offices in Milan this evening to finalise the deal, with reporters intercepting him on his way out.

“We’re extremely satisfied about this transfer,” he said.

“Cristiano has wanted to make this move from the very first second the opportunity arose. He grew up at Inter and returning to the club was his dream. We tried to make it happen.

“Now it’s up to him to prove he’s good enough to play for Inter.”

Biraghi made 35 league appearances for Fiorentina last season as Vincenzo Montella’s side narrowly avoided a shock relegation to Serie B.

He spent seven years in Inter’s youth system before leaving to join Chievo in 2014.
