Francesco Totti is not convinced Antonio Conte can lead Inter to this season’s Serie A title.
The Roma legend tried to bring the former Juventus boss to the capital earlier this year, only for Conte to turn down the Giallorossi’s advances.
Inter got their league campaign off to the best possible start on Monday, recording a convincing 4-0 win over Lecce, but Totti was adamant it would be the Bianconeri’s year again.
He told Radio Radio: “Inter and Napoli could cause Juventus problems right up until the end of the season, but we all know that when it’s time to put your foot down they always respond.
“Juventus will win the league, albeit with more difficulty than in previous years.”
Totti was also asked for his opinion on Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara’s ongoing war of nerves with Inter, but he refused to get involved in the debate.
“Everyone is free to think and do whatever they want,” he added.
“Icardi is inextricably linked to his wife because she’s also his agent, they take all decisions together. I can’t comment on anything because I don’t know the dynamics of this issue.”
