Inter are considering a move for Spal striker Andrea Petagna as they seek an understudy to Romelu Lukaku, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Nerazzurri will officially unveil Alexis Sanchez and Cristiano Biraghi as their latest summer signings during the next 48 hours, with the latter undergoing a medical this morning.

But Antonio Conte is still looking for more before the transfer window shuts on Monday and wants back-up for Lukaku, who scored on his debut against Lecce on Monday.

Petagna scored 17 goals for Spal last season and found the net against his former side Atalanta last weekend.

Inter were previously linked with a move for Fernando Llorente, who is a free agent after leaving Tottenham in June, but the Spaniard now appears set to join Napoli.

Beppe Marotta is also planning a last-minute move for a new midfielder in the last few days of the window, with Arturo Vidal on top of Conte’s wish list at Barcelona.
