Inter are completing the final formalities of their deal with Manchester United to sign Alexis Sanchez, according to FcInterNews.it.

Sanchez will sign on a season-long loan with Inter contributing €5 million towards the €12 million he is due between September and June.

The forward must sign a series of documents with United before completing his move to Italy, with an appointment scheduled for early this afternoon.

He will then be free to join up with Antonio Conte, who is waiting for him at Appiano Gentile with open arms.

Sanchez agreed to give up another €500,000 of his monstrous annual salary to help Inter get their deal over the line.

But Inter do not have an option to buy the 30-year-old, if he rediscovers his form in Serie A, because they did not have time to agree future personal terms.

Sanchez still has two years left on his contract at United, which will see him earn €12 million annually after tax, a salary Inter cannot afford.

The Nerazzurri might offer El Nino Maravilla a three-year deal to sign permanently, but they may need United to facilitate his departure in some way.

In any case, the clubs will resume negotiations if necessary in the spring, having failed to reach an agreement on a fee for the option to buy for Sanchez.
