Inter’s hopes of signing Arturo Vidal are being damaged by Ivan Rakitic’s uncertain future at Barcelona, according to Tuttosport.

Vidal remains Antonio Conte’s first-choice option in midfield, but Barca are unlikely to sell both players before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Rakitic is no longer part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans and has been offered to both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain this week.

Inter will need the 2018 World Cup finalist to stay put if they are to have any chance of securing a loan deal for Conte’s former Juventus disciple.

TS also linked the Nerazzurri with a surprise move for their former academy player Daniel Bessa, who made 30 league appearances for Genoa last season.

Bessa would be eligible for a homegrown slot in Inter’s Champions League squad list, just as Cristiano Biraghi will be when he completes a move from Fiorentina.

Biraghi is set to become the 13th Italian on Inter’s books as Beppe Marotta looks to create a solid core of homegrown talent in the squad.

He will complete a medical in Milan today before putting pen to paper on his new five-year deal later this afternoon.
