It has been dubbed ‘The Conte Effect.’ One game was all it took for the new coach to convince the Inter World, according to today’s paper edition of newspaper La Repubblica.

The Nerazzurri dominated the game against Lecce and walked away with a 4-0 win in front of 64,000 spectators at the San Siro. The stadium was packed for an opening game like it has not been since 2010, the season after the famous treble winning season.

But the most incredible effect Conte seems to have had, is on the players. The match against Lecce showed a brand new Antonio Candreva who was able to score a wonder goal. Not to mention Andrea Ranocchia, usually a pillar in the locker room, was able to hold the defense for 90 minutes.

Stefano Sensi and Romelu Lukaku have already entered into the hearts of the fans, who now seem to have forgotten all about Radja Nainggolan and Mauro Icardi.

Everyone is already talking about Conte as if he has always been Inter’s coach, as opposed to having only coached the team for one official game.
