Mauro Icardi’s future currently hangs in the balance according to a report from broadcaster SkySport24, who detail that there has been no concrete contact with either Paris St. Germain or Atletico Madrid.

The French and Spanish giants appear to be Icardi’s only potential options to secure himself an exit before tomorrow night’s transfer deadline but as things stand, Icardi looks more likely to remain at the club and on the sidelines at least until the next transfer window in January.

Monaco had also shown an interest in signing the 26-year-old Argentine striker but have since dropped their interest in favour of going after RB Leipzig’s Jean-Kevin Augustin.

As per other reports doing the rounds in the media, a move to Juventus also now appears impossible in this transfer window.

Inter are unwilling to loan Icardi to the Bianconeri and Juventus have confirmed that Paulo Dybala will be staying with the club which rules out a swap deal.
