Noted journalist Daniele ‘Lele’ Adani has shared his thoughts and feelings on Inter’s 2-1 away victory over Cagliari in Sardinia last night.
Lautaro Martinez gave the Nerazzurri the lead in the first half before Joao Pedro drew the hosting Rossoblu level. Inter club record signing Romelu Lukaku put Inter back ahead from the penalty spot 20 minutes from the end and it turned out to be the winning goal.
“The Nerazzurri have achieved a very important victory against an opponent who refused to give up, not even in the second half. At the start of the second half, Cagliari made it 1-1 but Conte’s Inter did not let that get them down,” he said in an interview with broadcaster Sky Sport.
Adani was also quick to heap praise upon Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi, who has arguably been Inter’s best player this season, to the surprise of many.
“He played like he was Andres Iniesta,” Adani remarked.
