Journalist Fabrizio Biasin has claimed that the death threat banners put up outside of Mauro Icardi’s house are what led to him having a change of heart.

The Argentine striker and his wife, and agent, Wanda Icardi appeared adamant that they were going to remain at Inter despite the fact Icardi was told earlier this Summer that he was no longer considered as part of the club’s project after the events of last season.

Several clubs were interested and Paris Saint Germain look to have won the race with Icardi currently on his way to Paris to undergo a medical.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Sportiva, Biasin said: “Until yesterday there was no chance at this time that he would move from Milan, he was willing to remain at Inter even though he would not play. The banner under the house led Wanda Nara to push the player to evaluate other offers.”
