Mauro Icardi could make his Paris Saint Germain debut in the Champions League against Real Madrid according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

The Argentine attacker is on his way to Paris alongside his wife, and agent, Wanda Icardi to complete a loan move to the French giants, who will have an option to turn the move permanent next Summer for €65 million according to reports in the media.

Icardi has not featured whatsoever for Inter this season and had no action over the course of pre-season either meaning it will take him a few weeks to get up to speed. The broadcaster state that September 18’s Champions League opener against Real Madrid could be the day Icardi pulls on the PSG shirt for the first time.

Icardi’s arrival at the Parc des Princes comes at the perfect time for PSG manager Thomas Tuchel who has recently lost star men Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani to injury.
