Milan Skriniar reflected on Inter’s 2-1 success away in Sardinia over Cagliari which allowed Inter to maintain their 100% start to the season.

“It is not easy to play away here as Cagliari plays very physically, even in previous years it was like this. This victory is very important for us,” he remarked in an interview with Inter TV post-match.

“We are working hard on the defensive side of the game. We scored two goals but we were not very focused but luckily that did not matter as we won anyway. We must now recover and build on this and always try to improve ourselves.”

The Slovakian international then spoke on how won of the recent rule changes have benefitted him and his teammates.

“The new rule when it comes to the goalkeeper playing the ball out is an advantage for those, who like us, wish to play out from the back.”
