Mario Sconcerti has taken a look at how things differ from this time last year after two rounds of Serie A action as part of his weekly column for Corriere della Sera.

“There are already some interesting things that have happened compared to a year ago. Inter has five more points, Torino also, Napoli three less and Lazio four more. Almost nothing is as it was, the two most important changes have occurred for Torino and Inter, who, for now, are the only ones to keep up with Juventus,” he wrote.

“Points should never be underestimated, even when they arrive in August. Just think that the Champions League places are often decides in May by one or two points…”

Sconcerti also touched upon what he made of Inter’s performance in their 2-1 success over Cagliari last night in Sardinia.

“Inter won against Cagliari but not without some small difficulties. Barella made the difference when he came on and Sensi, who did something spectacular to see, won the penalty for Lukaku.”
