Inter youngster Rigoberto Rivas appears set to complete a deadline day loan switch to Reggina according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Honduran attacker will join the Serie C outfit in a dry loan and they will not have any option to purchase him at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old had other options within Italy and also had opportunities to join clubs abroad but settled on Reggina as he was convinced by their project and the fact he believes that his continued development as a player will be best suited with the Amaranto.

Rivas has been with Inter since 2014 and is under contract with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season. He spent last season out on loan at Ternana and the season before that out on loan at Brescia.

Rivas is still waiting to make his debut for the Inter senior team but with this move looking set to go through, he will be forced to wait at least another year until possibly making a debut.
