Milan defender Theo Hernandez believes he and his Rossoneri teammates have what it takes to win the upcoming Derby della Madonnina against city rivals Inter.
“I really want to play in it. It will be the first Milan derby I will have the chance to play in and I am sure that we will win,” the French international full back told broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
The 21-year-old arrived at il Diavolo during the Summer transfer window in a €20 million deal from Spanish giants Real Madrid, where he won one Champions League trophy.
Due to an injury to his ankle that he sustained during pre-season, he has yet to feature in either of Milan’s first two Serie A games of the season but is expected to have recovered in time for the Milan derby which will take place on September 21.
Milan will be the hosts of the derby and tickets are selling quickly for the match with over 60,000 already snapped up by fans.
