Inter Coach Antonio Conte Has Faith In Teenage Striker Sebastiano Esposito

Inter’s 17-year-old Italian striker Sebastiano Esposito is a diamond in the rough, and he managed to fight off more established names during the transfer market, Italian media outlet FcInterNews reports.

Esposito’s pre-season preparations impressed Inter coach Antonio Conte enough to include the youngster into the first team, awarding the youngster with the number 30 shirt.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri were considering purchasing a low cost and experienced older striker to complete their work in strengthening the offence, with the suggested names of Fernando Llorente and Alessandro Matri, who were both proposed to the club, but instead decided to take a chance on the 17-year-old talent.

The player will be part of the first team primarily, with the Primavera squad only able to use him on special occasions so as not to disrupt his development alongside his Nerazzurri teammates.

Despite the fact that Inter are hoping to compete this season with Juventus for the league title, they still believe the promising young striker can contribute to a key season for the Nerazzurri, and his inclusion isn’t simply there to invest for the future.
