Report Suggests Antonio Conte Has Laid Foundation For Success During First 100 Days At Inter

Antonio Conte has been Inter’s head coach for 100 days now and in that time has laid down important foundations for the future, and Milano based newspaper la Gazzetta dello Sport examined the work of the 50-year-old Italian coach.

The arrival of Conte immediately changed the way the Nerazzurri were viewed, according to the report. Soon after his arrival, people began discussing Inter as the anti-Juventus, Chinese investors guaranteed a budget and high-profile players became interested in joining the club, such as Romelu Lukaku and Nicolo Barella.

Conte also worked hard with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta to offload players no longer considered essential to the project, such as Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic, creating a more airtight squad to compete for the title.

After two victories in two games for Conte, the future looks bright.

However, the next challenge for the coach will be to impress in Europe as well, with Inter having one of the toughest Champions League groups, having to beat either Borussia Dortmund or Barcelona to a knockout stage spot.
