Former Inter forward George Puscas told Romanian media outlet Telekom Sport about his passion for football and the differences between football on television and football on the field.
“I kicked balls everywhere, stressing every neighbour. But in the end, I liked it and started going to training two or three times a week, even though I was very young and didn’t know what it meant to work, I still enjoyed it”
Puscas struggled to find playing time with Inter but credits the Nerazzurri for helping him develop as a striker.
“The first football stars I met were at Inter, what an impact! After that I started to get used to it. I played against great teams in tournaments in America, against teams like Real Madrid. I remember when I started taking pictures with Bale and Pepe.”
The 23-year-old striker signed with Reading earlier this summer for €8 million plus €2 million in bonuses, becoming the English club’s most expensive signing in history.
