Talks between Mario Gotze and Borussia Dortmund over a contract extension with the club are not progressing according to a report from German news outlet Welt.
The midfielder has saw limited action on the field this season and is understandably unhappy with this. A contract renewal is not a money related issue for the 27-year-old, who is seeking assurances over regular playing time with der BVB.
In recent weeks, reports in both the Italian and German media have linked the 2014 World Cup winner with a move to Inter, with some stating Inter are keen to sign him as soon as January and others reporting Inter want to sign him for free next Summer, once his contract expires.
Gotze has recently admitted that a move abroad could be an option for him and whilst there is no concrete offer on the table for him at the moment from Inter, the Nerazzurri are interested and have held talks with his representatives.
