Inter vice-president and club legend Javier Zanetti has explained the reasoning behind the selection of Czech Republic for Inter’s latest Inter Academy project.
“We chose the Czech Republic because it shares the values of Inter. Here we can combine these values with teaching football and cooperating with schools very well,” the Argentine is quoted as saying by Czech news outlet Seznamzpray.cz at the official presentation of the project at the Alchymist Grand Hotel in the Czech capital of Prague.
“Sport education is the foundation of every young person’s education. Inter Academy allows us to grow around the world and stay in close contact with our fans.”
Zanetti, who spent nearly the entirety of his career with the Nerazzurri, concluded: “I am happy to be able to follow this path. I believe that the skills of our coaches will contribute to guaranteeing young players a good job and a bright future.”
