Steven Zhang has declared his readiness for his new position as part of the European Club Association board following his election earlier on today.
“At my age I feel ready, even for this new job. I am young, but I did everything step by step. I am part of a generation of young entrepreneurs who are holding positions of responsibility,” he said in an interview with news agency ANSA.
“I believe that the ECA enjoyed the new ideas. There is more to football than the 90 minutes. Social networks such as YouTube have great margins for growth and I feel I can contribute in this field.”
Zhang then spoke on a range of Inter related topics from transfer market activity to goals.
“We have a great coach in Antonio Conte and as a leadership we support him 100%. We had the transfer market that we did because Inter must aim for the top.
“Icardi? He is a good guy and a good player. I spoke to the president of Paris Saint Germain who told me that they are happy to have him. I wish him well and hope he has fun on the field.
“Our vision for the club requires us to always be in the Champions League. We are participating for the second year in a row but it will always have to be like this.
“The race for the title? Our goal is to be high up in the table. We have bought many young players and everyone wants to win the Scudetto and the Champions League but you need to give them time to work and be patient.”
