Former Inter player Francesco Colonnese has insisted that Inter should be aiming to try and win the Serie A title this season.
Antonio Conte’s Nerazzurri head into the third round of Serie A action at the top of the table having won both of their opening games and will be looking to make it three wins from three when they play host to Udinese this weekend.
“Conte himself said that there should be no limits. Inter’s goal should be to fight for the title,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.
“I have been surprised by the impact of Stefano Sensi and I am curious to see how Sanchez, who, up to two years ago, was one of the best in the world, gets on. I think Inter has the strongest defence in European football.”
He also shared his opinion on how things ended for Mauro Icardi at Inter with the Argentine securing a loan move away from the club on transfer deadline day.
“The solution found in the Icardi saga was the best for everyone involved. He must get back to playing and most not think about anything other than that.”
