Inter and AC Milan presently prefer the stadium plan presented to them by the Populous group according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

The Populous group’s plan is one of two plans currently remaining from the original four for the new stadium which will take the place of the historic San Siro.

They have been working alongside the clubs for some months advising them regarding the architecture and this has given them an advantage over the other firm they are competing against even though the two clubs have assured that their choice will fall on the best project.

Great attention has been paid to how the stadium looks to ensure maximum visibility and the capacity must be between 55,000-60,000 so that there can be flexibility when it comes to the selling of corporate seats which will vary depending on how big a certain match is.

The clubs also want there to be a seamless transition when it comes to changing the colours of the stadium from blue to red and vice versa.

The report from the Milan based news outlet also details that it will cost the two clubs a sum of €45 million to demolish San Siro to make way for the new ground and all that will come with it with the clubs having grand plans for the area around the stadium too.
