Inter midfielder Borja Valero has knocked back an offer to continue his playing career in Qatar according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Al Gharafa came in with an offer of a two year deal worth €4 million a season but the veteran Spanish midfielder has turned them down due to wanting to see out the remainder of his contract with Inter which is due to expire at the end of this season.

The 34-year-old has not featured at all for Inter yet this season but has made 75 appearances across all competitions since arriving at the club from Fiorentina back in 2017.

The report goes on to state that Borja Valero was not the only player that Al Gharafa tried to tempt to Qatar either with them also making moves to sign Mario Mandzukic from Juventus and former AC Milan defender Ignazio Abate, who is currently a free agent. Mandzukic and Abate, like Borja Valero, turned them down.
