Inter will kick-start talks with the representatives of young defender Andrea Palazzi over a new contract with the club shortly according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The 23-year-old has been out on loan at Serie C side Monza since January and his current contract with the Nerazzurri is set to expire at the end of next season.

It is as yet unclear how long Inter’s management wish to prolong the contract of the former  Italian youth international, who has been on the club’s books since 2013 and made just the one first team appearance.

Palazzi becomes the latest in a long line of players that the Nerazzurri are trying to tie down to a new deal with them also reportedly working on deals for Samir Handanovic, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Lautaro Martinez and Kwadwo Asamoah.

This season, Palazzi has been limited to just 18 minutes on the field and has been an unused substitute on four occasions.
