Federico Chiesa will be the next player that Inter and Juventus go head-to-head for on the transfer market according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Inter were the victors in the most recent transfer market derby as they pipped their Bianconeri rivals to the signing of striker Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United.

Juventus director Fabio Paratici has been in contact with Fiorentina for some time over the move and has also held talks with Chiesa’s father, former Italy international Enrico, who is also his agent.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta meanwhile made the Nerazzurri’s interest in Chiesa known during negotiations that culminated in the two clubs swapping Cristiano Biraghi and Dalbert this Summer.

The report goes on to state that Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso is likely to appreciate Inter’s interest in the highly-rated Chiesa as it could well allow him to prevent a sale to their historic rivals Juventus if he is unable to tie Chiesa down to a new deal and keep him at La Viola.
