Tennis star Fabio Fognini has spoken on his Inter fandom as part of an interview with Inter’s official match day programme for this evening’s opening Champions League group stage match against Slavia Prague.
“My family is full of Inter fans. Inter for me means passion. I grew up watching the likes of Ronaldo and Christian Vieri but my idol was Ivan Zamorano. I always like Marco Materazzi too due to his determination,” he said.
“As a fan of Inter, I rejoice and I get angry. When you care about one thing those are the reactions, but being a sportsman I also understand what’s behind it and the variables that can lead to one result over another.”
Fognini then discussed the players currently in the Inter side.
“We have important players in the side from Romelu Lukaku to Alexis Sanchez , from Lautaro Martinez to Nicolo Barella. Then we have Stefano Sensi too, he plays in a crazy way and Diego Godin, who is an world class player with great experience.”
