Former Inter president and owner Massimo Moratti has shared his fondness for Inter’s current owners Suning having dined with them last night.
“The dinner was very interesting, they are very kind, both the father and Steven. I was pleased with how it went,” he explained in an interview with the gathered media including Sky Sports.
Moratti was then asked if he would like to return to the Inter set-up.
“Suning are very kind in keeping me informed about everything they do: for me it’s like being present.”
He then spoke on Stefano Sensi and Antonio Conte.
“I have been very impressed by Stefano Sensi and Antonio Conte and I believe there are the foundations to do very well.
“It is difficult to make comparisons about Conte. He is good as his job and that is the most important thing. As for Sensi, nobody expected him to do so well. He has a bit of Wesley Sneijder about him. He has changed the team.”
He concluded by looking ahead to this weekend’s Milan derby.
“It won’t say anything about the season, but Inter have what it takes to fight for the Scudetto.”
