Inter and AC Milan will not change their stance regarding a new stadium despite Milan mayor Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Sala’s latest proposal relating to purchasing San Siro according to a report from Turin based news outlet Tuttosport.

Sala, who is known to be keen to see the Milanese clubs remain at San Siro, has offered the historic 80,018 capacity stadium to the clubs for a sum of €70 million.

The two clubs are not interested though due to being absolutely set on building a new state-of-the-art ground and they will present the remaining two plans in the running to the Milan city council in the coming week.

The report goes on to detail that the Milan city council are yet to receive notice from the clubs of their intention to reject the possibility of buying San Siro.

The two plans in the running are one from the Populous group, who were behind Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium and the joint plan from David Manica and Cmr, who have been tasked with designing Cagliari’s new stadium.
