Stefano Sensi knows that following the disappointing 1-1 draw against Slavia Prague, he and his teammates have to dust themselves down and immediately get ready for the next game with fixtures set to come thick and fast over the coming weeks.

“We knew it was going to be a difficult game. I think a draw was a fair result, in the first half they did better, then in the second half we came out of our shell. We have to work, tomorrow we will look at the errors and try to work on them,” he told the gathered media in the mixed zone at San Siro.

“We did not underestimate them. They pressed us high up the pitch and put a lot of intensity into in the first half and this was the main difficulty. We were good to get the draw at the end.

“We created so many chances for ourselves but were perhaps not as sharp as we could have been. We have to recover our energy because we have another very important match coming up. It will be a difficult month.

“They surprised me after they scored but they continued to press. We were good at being patient but finding ourselves at a disadvantage was not easy.”

He concluded by speaking on his start at Inter: “Did I expect to have such a start? No but I am very happy about it. There is still a lot of work to do. We have to keep working because there are very important matches ahead.”
