Lautaro Martinez is calm about his Inter future with club leaders recently telling him that they wish to tie him down to a new deal by the end of this season according to a report from Corriere dello Sport
He is already under contract with the club through to the end of the 2022/23 season but Inter are seeking to extend that by a further year as a reward for his continued progress.
Over the Summer his annual salary jumped up to €2.2 million from €1.8 million due to a clause in his current contract and Inter leaders do not feel that they need to hurry the new contract because of this.
The Argentine striker is now in his second year with the club and appears to be the number one option in the attack alongside Romelu Lukaku in Antonio Conte’s side.
He has made three appearances across all competitions this season and in 180 minutes of action, he has contributed one goal.
