Former Italian international striker Cristiano Lucarelli has shared what he sees in the team that Antonio Conte has put together at Inter.

“I see a lot of similarities between this Inter side and the Juventus side that won the first Scudetto after Calciopoli. Inter gives the impression of having become a team in next to no time. Antonio Conte is very good. He succeed even when he was coaching the national team,” he explained in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web Radio.

Lucarelli then commented on Mauro Icardi’s deadline day transfer from Inter to French powerhouses Paris Saint Germain.

“I hope that he can be reborn there. He is such a talent and it would be a shame for him to throw his career away  because of his behaviour. His history with Inter deserved a different ending.

“He was the captain, he was loved and had kept Inter afloat several times but then if you appoint your wife as your agent, who is with you 24 hours a day, you are just going looking for problems.”
