Former Inter midfielder Adriano Piraccini is full of praise for Inter’s Stefano Sensi, whose performances have come as a real surprise since his arrival from Sassuolo.

“Earlier in the Summer I had said that he was a perfect fit for Inter. Sensi has a monstrous personality and will have an amazing career. He is already at the top with Inter,” he said in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web.

“Now he is even scoring goals, which is something he was not doing in the past. He has exceptional confidence within himself and in my opinion is a mix between Marco Verratti and Lothar Matthaus, who was a great midfielder with an eye for goal.”

Piraccini, who spent two years with Inter between 1986-1988, also spoke on Nicolo Barella, who also joined Inter over the Summer transfer window.

“As for Barella I really like him too, he is a great fighter, he has more energy than Sensi but he doesn’t have Stefano’s feet and genius.”
